Dear Families,
I am delighted to inform you that we have reopened our school fields for lunchtime activities this week. However, due to the recent rainfall, we had to temporarily close them again! We eagerly anticipate a period of dry weather that will enable us to consistently utilise the fields during lunchtime.
Furthermore, I would like to commend our students for their exemplary conduct around the school premises this week. The school environment has been calm and conducive to learning, with students actively engaged in their studies. Notably, they have amassed an impressive 2000 positive points, which equates to more than two positive points per student – a remarkable achievement indeed.
As we move forward, I would like to remind you of the importance of adhering to our school's uniform guidelines. We expect all students to wear the complete school uniform, and tutors will be conducting regular uniform checks. Students who do not comply with the uniform guidelines will be addressed accordingly. We kindly request your support in ensuring that your children adhere to these guidelines, as it fosters a sense of unity and pride within our educational community.
We are extremely proud with the maturity and preparation our Year 11 students have put into their exams so far. Some of them have had busy days, with 3 exams on one day in some cases!
They are arriving on time and are equipped and ready for their exam. We are proud of them.
Today, unfortunately, we have noticed that our other criteria for their exams, being in school uniform, is not being met by some students.
It is important that Year 11 continues to uphold our standards, including wearing the correct uniform (as they did in their mocks). Students have been informed that all elements of uniform remain unchanged from throughout their time in Year 11. Having the correct uniform means our conversations with students can focus on their revision, rather than what they are wearing, and therefore keep our interactions positive. It also means students are arriving for examinations in the correct mindset.
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to our shared vision of excellence in education.
Mr S Greiff
